FinXL IT Professional Services is a leading IT services organisation providing a broad range of services to assist large Australian enterprises and Government departments to deliver IT projects.

At present, an outstanding opportunity exists for a Cyber Security Analyst to join a high performing team onsite at a highly regarded organisation in the energy sector.

The successful candidate will protect the business through the provision of cyber security analysis and operational services in support of the Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enhance visibility by analysing IT and business services/systems to provide:

o Risk assessment for cyber security related risks

o Relevant, timely and actionable threat intelligence

o Recommendations towards the continual improvement cycle

  • Analyse and report on activity for security services including: firewalls, proxy, email filtering and end point protection
  • Provide assurance of security posture through:

o Conduct/coordination of security testing: vulnerability, web application, penetration and phishing tests

o Conduct/coordination/support to audit/self-check activities

  • Enhance cyber security resilience through the provision of expertise and support to incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery activities
  • Support IT and business project delivery through the provision of:

o Information security guidance

o Reviews and risk assessments

o Security testing

  • Enhance process effectiveness by updating cyber security related processes and documentation
  • Improve cybersecurity awareness and behaviours across the business
  • Conduct investigations of cyber security related events
  • Other activities as directed in support of the ISMS

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Good communication with strong stakeholder management and engagement skills
  • Experience in identifying, assessing and communicating cyber security related risks
  • Knowledge of Information Security principles, frameworks and good practices
  • Familiarity with ISO ISO27001 and or other related standards
  • CISSP, GSEC, Security+ (or similar certifications or tertiary education specifically related to Information Security)
  • Relevant security experience with (or similar technology):

o Cisco - Firewalls, Proxy, Email filtering, AMP, ISE, Routers and Switches

o Microsoft - O365, Azure, server and desktop operating systems, and applications

o Linux - Red Hat

o Mobile - iPhone and Android

  • Service Now Experienced with SSIS/SSRS
  • Experienced with Visual Studio & GIT
  • Experienced with PowerShell

The organisation is Melbourne based, but you have the autonomy to work remotely from anywhere in Australia (including but not limited to Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide, Newcastle, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Geelong, Hobart, Darwin etc.)
