Through the delivery of services and implementation of new systems, processes and technology, we assist our clients to gain competitive advantage and reach new heights.

Please note - This role requires an NV1 security clearance as a mandatory requirement.

The Role:

FinXL are looking to engage multiple Service Desk Analysts here in Canberra for a 6 month contract.


The role requires you to:

  • Field incoming requests/issues via both phone and email, and answering calls in a timely manner 
  • Record, track and document progress of all calls into the IT Service Management tool as per Service Desk call handling 
  • Prioritise and schedule the resolution of incidents and fulfilment of service requests, escalate (when required) to the appropriate escalation point 
  • Administering Microsoft Windows environments 
  • User account administration tasks including creations and decommissions –End-user troubleshooting of all software, hardware, telephony and network.  
  • Create, review and update documentation 
  • Ability to follow team and organisational processes and procedures 
  • Work to a roster, including scheduled meal breaks
  • Have an active NV1 security clearance


To be successful, you would have:

  • Ability to liaise with and support Ministerial & VIP staff 
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, concepts and processes  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrable understanding of ITIL principles and processes 
  • Ideally experience with supporting secure systems and thin client/virtual desktop technologies
