As a Junior .Net Developer you should be able to support the Development and Integrations required of the project. The .NET developer is also required to assist with technical design and development of simple online forms, databases and APIs/interfaces using application development standards such as .NET and SQL. Resources need to be Working in Darwin (Remote working not available).

Key duties and responsibilities:

Support project delivery and take responsibility for the following:

  • Assist with software development, unit testing and integration activities, including creation of software code, database, other scripts and documentation
  • Responsible for deliverables and ensure work packages are delivered on time and to expected quality standards as agreed with the Project Manager / Business Analyst.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated extensive experience (At least 03+ years) in a software development role on projects or programs.
  • Skilled in programming, C# .Net, web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and on Single Page Application frameworks \ libraries such as Angular, Vue or React.
  • Experience in SQL scripting skills, developing APIs, designing relational databases using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experienced in .Net MVC or WebAPI framework.
  • Demonstrated skills with Web Services or Mainframe integrations.
  • Demonstrated skill with modern version control systems such as Mercurial, Git, Bitbucket or Subversion.
  • Understanding of System architecture, security, network and storage concepts.
  • Data analysis and SQL skills.
  • Ability to analyse and document system interfaces, data and workflow processes, using industry standard techniques.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Previous experience assisting with designing and developing solutions for Government business systems is preferred not mandatory.
  • Experience analysing interface specifications and integration business rules.
  • Demonstrated skills with unit testing (such as NUnit) and Continuous integration (CI)
  • Demonstrated skill in issue tracking toolsets such as JIRA & Confluence
  • Experience with Dependency Injection and Database design principals.
