Our client has a requirement for a Microsoft Cloud Security Engineer, they will be supporting the Department’s adoption of an IRAP-accredited Microsoft Enterprise Cloud by designing, implementing, and documenting security solutions to support the compliance, logging, monitoring and auditing requirements for security and operations.
You will be:
You will work alongside the Enterprise Cloud Architect and other technical leaders to help design ISM/PSPF compliant security solutions and then develop and deploy them to exacting assessment and accreditation standards.
With preferably certifications in Microsoft cloud technologies SaaS, PaaS and IaaS, along with solid experience. The Cloud Security Engineer will have a security mindset with substantive experience in security design and deployments. They will be able to bring their energy and knowledge of cloud-based security solutions to enable and continuously improve the Department’s security posture in the cloud.
With a proven capacity to implement the latest cloud-based technology using industry best-practice and compliance to government standards, you will be able to participate in collaborative design and operate independently to implement agreed solutions to a high standard.
3+ years’ working with Security and Technical teams designing and/or implementing enterprise-grade security solutions.
Practical experience designing and/or implementing technical solutions within Azure and at least one other Microsoft Cloud environment (particularly Office365, Dynamics365, SharePoint Online, and/or PowerBI).
Strong experience enabling and operating Azure security services (particularly Azure Security Center, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel and/or Azure Network Watcher).
Demonstrable experience enabling advanced security features across Microsoft ecosystem, such as MFA, ATP, PIM, AIP, DLP, AV, Defender, etc.
Solid understanding of Azure Active Directory and proven experience enabling its inbuilt security features.
Experience working collaboratively with key stakeholders to gather, understand and communicate requirements and technical design.
Demonstrable experience developing and implementing technical solutions using emerging technologies, particularly cloud-based, that focus on meeting security requirements.
Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships across technical teams.
Experience producing technical design documentation, and assuring implementation matches design for assessment and accreditation purposes.
