The Role:

FinXL are looking to engage a Network Engineer to support and promote the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation.

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Oversees the provision of specialist advice by others, consolidates expertise from multiple sources, including third party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational
  • Produces outline system designs and specifications, and overall architectures, topologies, configuration databases and design documentation of networks and networking technology within the
  • Specifies user/system interfaces, including validation and error correction procedures, processing rules, access, security and audit controls.
  • Assesses associated risks, and specifies recovery routines and contingency procedures.
  • Translates logical designs into physical designs.

The key skills required for this role are:

  • An active NV1 clearance at a minimum is required.
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes within Defence.
  • Familiarity with Change Management methodologies within Defence.
  • Skilled and effective communicator, spoken and written, prepared to confidently engage in technical forums.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings and engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Effective planner with efficient time management skills, including interaction with remote teams across multiple time zones.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new concepts and tasks, with a view of improving technical knowledge and skills.
  • Intuition to balance innovation against supportability for customised application of technologies.
