We are looking for Project Manager as   part of a highly skilled team of consultants working in our Tier 1 Client in Melbourne CBD.
You will be assigned in to one of our clients many project portfolios encompassing digital initiatives and revolutionary payment systems. You will likely be exposed to many up to date technologies which you can built on to your current development skills sets and experience.
This role will be within our enterprise client’s IT Digital Services projects developing digital customer UI, business systems and applications.

Job Description

  • Integrate all project delivery plans for specified release and manage the overall critical path.
  • Escalation point for any dependencies, risks or issues across projects within release. Actively manage and shift priorities as required including but not limited to back out and recovery plans, SIT environment and code drop dependencies & implementation logistics.
  • Timely release level reporting to all stakeholders including contributions to steering committee.
  • Tracking and reporting delivery status while helping promptly resolve and escalate any blockers  
  • Build and maintain relationships across O&CD, Business & other project stakeholders. Appropriate communication and engagement with stakeholders is critical.
  • Overall responsible for High quality solution design, testing and overall release deliverables as per Standards.
  • Collaboration with key project stakeholders, O&CD development teams, testing services, DevOps, environment services, Enterprise Release, Change, Sponsors, PMs, BAU and any other required stakeholders to understand and deliver the scope and impacts on O&CD technology assets.
  • Engagement with Legacy and 3rd party assets
  • Management of finances ensuring costs are within approved budgets including overall O&CD release costs across releases. Accuracy in forecast & timely governance for end of month procedures
  • Ensuring that all governance procedures, including ORR, RWC, Registrations, RiskSmart are completed in timely manner
  • Chairing and facilitating governance forums and status meetings, including but not limited to delivery planning workshops, weekly stakeholder updates, hypercare sessions, BAU handovers and post implementation reviews  

Required skills

  • Able to navigate a large complex organisation & build relationships with senior executives using informal and formal networks
  • Understanding of  technology and IT project delivery including constraints and limitations
  • Previous exposure to agile delivery environment.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the financial services industry or highly regulated environment including 2+ years of release/delivery management experience.
  • Previous exposure to large-scale transformation programmes of high pace and complexity  
  • Solid understanding and demonstrated experience in the entire SDLC (software development lifecycle) with end to end delivery history.
  • PMP / Prince 2 accreditation (or working towards it) would be considered an advantage.
  • Experience working in a cross functional development team.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to effectively liaise with management, technical and business staff.
  • Experience working in both technical and business delivery environments.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work with competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. 
  • Strong demonstrated business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
