The Role:

FinXL are looking to engage multiple Release Train Engineers to support a new major project for one of our clients' here in Canberra.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Create strategies for effective planning, monitoring, reporting, establishment and outcomes of agile release trains
  • Conduct complex release train events including program increment planning, showcases or demonstrations, scrum of scrums, inspect and adapt as well as synchronisation across the train and improvement planning
  • Ensure alignment of all teams with the agile release train with the agile and scrum processes, practices, patterns and principles and contribute to the organisations progress in agile maturity
  • Drive, manage and coordinate team objectives for the program increment, and ensure employees maintain a high-level of specialist, professional and/or technical expertise through coaching and training, and implementing and promoting a climate of change and continuous improvement
  • Provide leadership and direction to release train and ensure employees maintain a high-level of specialist, professional and/or technical expertise through coaching and training, and implementing and promoting a climate of change and continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial and collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholder
  • Provide business critical authoritative and expert advice to senior management
  • Apply and maintain a high level of knowledge on the information management system, quality assurance and control processes
  • Champion Scaled Agile (SAFe) implementation, in line with the departments Delivery Methods

The key skills required are:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an RTE working with SAFe
  • Experience in working with Whole-of government frameworks
  • Experience supporting the delivery of multiyear complex reform initiatives operating in large, complex environments
  • Experience working within a DevOps model and with contemporary DevOps tools
  • Agile Certified practitioner
  • SAFe5 SPC certification would be an advantage
