Finite are seeking a passionate and driven RF/Communications Engineer to join our client as they deliver one of the nation's most high profile and strategic EW and threat detection programs.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the design assurance of system level design artefacts including integration and T& E (Tools & Equipment), of the Mission and Support systems; as well as maintaining internal Systems Engineering practices and procedures and ensuring their compliance with departmental, regulatory and legislated requirements.

Your Role

• Support of the Systems Engineering program, including the development, review, negotiation, and agreement of technical specifications
• Provide input to the technical design and solution into the Surveillance Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Sounders and Transponders IPT to ensure the design and solution meets the technical and support requirements for assigned systems.
• Support the V&V program, ensuring it satisfies its contractual obligations and the Mission and Support System design is adequately verified to meet functional and performance requirements.
• Provide technical performance, technical risk identification and mitigation by providing expert advice that informs design reviews and technical program planning for HF Radar Mission and Support Systems
• Support the development and maintenance of the AV&V Plan and Procedures
• Support the development and maintenance of the IV&V Plan and Procedures

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Radio Frequency (RF), Communications, Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Hardware Engineering
• 8-10 years of post graduate engineering experience
• Demonstrated Defence Systems Engineering experience
• Prior Defence project experience
• Must hold an active NV1 security clearance
