The Role- Senior Project Manager - Databases

FINXL Consulting is looking for a Project Manager to work with on a client based end to end Project. The specific project this role will be required to deliver is the Oracle end of life database upgrade. Where we have approximately 570 databases which need to be upgraded. The role will be required to engage multiple application team stakeholders in order to plan and execute the upgrades as well as work with the Infrastructure team to deliver and manage the upgrades.

For this project we will need someone who has worked in large scale IT transformations with a strong understanding of Database environments and their end of life to upgrade.

  • Demonstrate full ownership and accountability delivering approved project outcomes
  • Project stakeholders are engaged, clear on status, progress against all baselines, key risks and issues
  • Meet or exceed stakeholder needs
  • Clear and accurate status reporting focussed on approved baselines and project outcomes/benefits
  • Ensure that project documentation is stored in the designated project control book, if in the event of leave another PM can pick up the project and understand all baselines, status, priorities, key issues and risks
