Digital Business Analyst - 12 months - $700 per day or $140k per annum

FinXL is looking to engage technical business analysts comping from software engineering backgrounds to work on a number of ongoing agile software projects.

these roles will be embedded in the delivery teams and should have a solid technical background. The role will be expected to work with the e2e BAs (sits outside of the delivery team) and the product owner and to challenge and drive simplicity in the solutions.

We are interested in seeing some profiles of Software Engineers who are strong in:

  • Breaking down epics into stories and prepare test cases and acceptance criteria (mandatory)
  • work closely with peer dev engineers to understand the context and expected business outcomes (mandatory)
  • perform QA testing (desirable)

This would be a great opportunity for a Software Engineer to break into a Business Analyst / Product Engineer role.

Skills, knowledge, and experience

  • Solid background in stakeholder management, requirements gathering and analysis, business process development and use case development
  • Technical / Software Engineering background
  • Strong knowledge of the SDLC and involvement across the entire project lifecycle
  • Consultative and open minded, with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong workshop facilitation skills
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies, and able to bring 'fresh' ideas to the project team and BA Practice
  • Ability to take on accountability for complex pieces of work and work autonomously
  • Flexible, able to adapt to change quickly and work with some ambiguity, yet still delivering quality outcomes
  • Excellent Attention to detail, yet able to step back and see the big picture when the situation requires
